We’ve just made improvements to the way that individuals are contacted to inform them that expeditions need a SADS. This will now mean that as soon as we become aware of a requirement for a SADS that an email is sent out to everyone who has registered with us.
If you are an expedition leader who requires a SADS then you should click here and complete the form.
If you are a SADS who has previously registered an interest in being sent emails then your details should be already on the database. If not, or you wish to check, then please go to this link and input your details.
Adventurous Training Group (Army) have just published 2015DIN07-092 (Annex A – Application Form) which contains the list of dates for the expedition slots in Ascension, Cyprus & Gibraltar. It also explains the bidding process and further information for planning.
We’ve just had the following in by email:
EXERCISE JAVELIN KUTSERO – FEB-MAR 2016
This is an outstanding opportunity for divers from all three Services to participate in an expedition to dive the wrecks, reefs and tropical lagoons of Coron in the Philippines.
If you are a minimum of BSAC Sports Diver (or equivalent) and are an aspiring or established wreck diver then the Japanese wrecks located around the remote island of Busuanga are fantastic dive sites. Diving will be facilitated through MDI Divers, a company with a proven track record of meeting the stringent breathing gas regulations associated with Service diving activities.
The Exercise Planning Officer is aspiring to organise 2 x 2 week packages run sequentially over the period 9 Feb to 4 Mar 2016.
- Group 1 dates 9 – 22 Feb 16
- Group 2 dates 20 Feb – 4 Mar 16
All possible funding avenues will be exploited with a view to minimising personal contributions. However, to secure your place a deposit of £650 is required and is commensurate with the approximate cost of individual flights. You will need to prove that you have authority to participate from your chain of command.
For more information contact the Exercise Planning Officer, Major D Godderidge RLC before the end of June 2015.

We’ve seen a lot of demand for additional places on the Combined Instructor Event which comprises the four elements that result in the award of Open Water Instructor (OWI). Consequently we’ve been working with our colleagues at ATC Castlemartin and have been able to put on another course 6-10 Jul 15.
All to note that this course will take place in Castlemartin but bids should be made via JSSADC.
Further information on the course and the application form can be found at this link.
