Closed Circuit Rebreather
One of our most sought after courses, this enables divers to move into the world of silent diving away from the bubbles and noise associated with open circuit diving. The course introduces rebreather technology, associated physics, physiology and equipment maintenance. Comprehensive diving skills, dive planning and dive management considerations are fully covered.
To enrol on this course you’ll need:
- An in date service sports diving medical
- To be an in date member of BSAC
- To be in current diving practice
- To be a qualified BSAC Dive Leader with a minimum of 100 logged dives and a BSAC Advanced Nitrox or Accelerated Decompression Procedures qualification (or equivalent)
You’ll be qualified to dive using the AP Valves Inspiration/Evolution Vision CCR.
The currently planned courses are as shown below:
|Course Number||Start Date||End Date||Bid By Date|
|CCR20-01||10 May 20||15 May 20||9 Mar 20|
|CCR20-02||6 Sep 20||11 Sep 20||6 Jul 20|
For those wishing to consolidate using the CCR then there may be the opportunity to stay on at JSSADC during the week after the course and complete additional dives. This is highly recommended in order to fully consolidate what has been learnt. This is possible when CCR courses are followed by an Advanced Diving Week (click for dates).
