Sheltered water training areas (SWTA) are areas of open water that can be used to deliver sheltered water training lessons. Like swimming pools, they do not require a SADS.
The only SWTAs that are approved for use under service diving regulations are shown in the table below and each has specific guidance for its use. Copies of the specific guidance for each site can be obtained either from the sponsor or by contacting us.
